FC Tulsa

Full visual identity design for FC Tulsa (formerly the Tulsa Roughnecks), a lower division soccer club based in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

At the heart of the crest is a scissor-tailed flycatcher, Oklahoma’s state bird. Its dynamic shape implies speed, motion, and a desire to reach new heights. The bespoke typeface is inspired by Tulsa’s rich art deco history. Its vertical orientation is a nod to the city’s vernacular signage. Gold and white serve as the primary colors, with patina green and black as accents.
